Nigerian football legend, Nwankwo Kanu paid a visit to the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their Volgograd Hotel in Russia today.
The former Arsenal star said he embarked on the visit to raise the spirit of the players ahead of the win-or-bust encounter against Iceland.
“I came to do my part and bring up the spirit of our team and encourage them at Super Eagles hotel for some morale-boosting effect ahead of Iceland game!,” he tweeted.

Having lost against Croatia in their opening Group D match, the Super Eagles need no less than a win to boost their chances of reaching the knockout phase.
Kanu fondly dubbed Papilo by Nigerian fans played a major part in Nigeria’s campaign at the 1998, 2002 and 2010 editions of the Fifa World Cup before retiring from the round leather game.
