The Nigeria U20 head coach, Paul Abiogun has announced his list of players invited for the last phase of the African U-20 Nations Cup qualifiers to 24.

The Flying Eagles travel to Mauritania on Tuesday to complete their final round of qualifier against the North-west Africans. Coach Abiogun has released a list of 18 players for the all-important away game and placed six others on standby.

The Enyimba of Aba coach hinted that only 18 will make the trip from the remaining 24 players in camp, following Saturday’s pruning of the excess number in camp.

Among those dropped are the team’s top striker, Jerome Akor, as well as the reliable right fullback, Mike Zaruma, who had to be axed due to injury. Also missing is former CHAN Eagles attacker, Peter Eneji, who is said to be out of the country in search of an overseas club.
