Antonio Conte has been sacked by Chelsea, Dailysportcast understands.
The Italian was told his services were no longer needed during Lunchtime at Chelsea’s Cobham training facility.
According to SunSport, Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck drove to their Cobham training ground this morning to deliver the news to Conte.
Conte led Chelsea to Premier League title glory in a successful first season at the helm but his second campaign proved far less impressive, however, and although they lifted the FA Cup in the spring, they could only finish fifth in the Premier League.
Former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarrri, is expected to replace Conte in charge at Stamford Bridge after talks reportedly came to conclusion this week with the 59-year-old given the green light to move to the Premier League.
Reports also have it that the club have agreed to pay up the £9million due for the remaining year of Conte’s contract.
