Aiteo Champions, Akwa United are battle ready for the maiden edition of the Akwa Ibom State Super Four tournament announced by the State’s Commissioner of sports, Sir Monday Uko.
According to the Club’s Media Officer, Mfon Patrick, the Nigerian Professional Football League side are set for the competition.
The team, currently sitting second in the country’s elite league will compete against Akwa Startlets, Cofine FC and Ibom Youths FC respectively at the Uyo Township Stadium from Wednesday through Friday.
Akwa United’s fixtures in the maiden Super Four tournament are as follows:
Match Day One – Wednesday, July 4
Akwa United Vs Ibom Youth FC (4:00 pm)
Match Day Two – Thursday, July 5
Akwa Starlets Vs Akwa United (2:00 pm)
Match Day Three – Friday, July 6
Akwa United Vs Cofine FC (9:30 am)
Meanwhile, the Uyo-based club Akwa United had resumed from the break and have been training for four days in a row at the Uyo Township Stadium, the playing turf of the State’s Nigerian Women Professional League representatives, Ibom Angels.
