Solomon Udo’s Armenia moved 9 places to 90th best team in the World according to the latest rankings released by FIFA on Wednesday.
Armenia are currently top of Group J in the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers following a string of wonderful results by the Joaquín Caparrós’ tutored side.
Udo and his side are yet to drop a point in this World Cup qualifying series following victories over Liechtenstein, Iceland and Romania, gathering nine points in the process which sits them top of their group.
Nigerian-born Udo took part in all three games as he played a significant role to this achievement.
Armenia are yet to concede a goal with Udo starting as a Central Defensive Midfielder (CDM) as they ran to 1-0 and 2-0 wins over Liechtenstein and Iceland respectively when he was deployed.
But his side went on to concede two goals against Romania when he was dropped from the starting lineup by Caparros.
They were 99th in the World, but this sterling performance has not gone unnoticed as they are now improving in performance.
Belgium are still top with France and Brazil on 2nd and 3rd respectively.
