Jamiu Suleiman and Ekpo Godwin scored two second half goals to complete the comeback for FC Vandrezzer in their 2-1 win over Team Lagos.
The Lions fell behind early in the first half but returned from the break with a fighting spirit to secure their first win in their first game since they made Lagos their new home.
Jamiu Suleiman got the equalizer while Ekpo Godwin gave the host the much needed goal for the victory.
Team Lagos who are preparing for the National sports festival came up strong against the Nigerian National League (NNL) side.
But the later pulled their strings when it was needed most to have the victory.
Vandrezzer who are preparing for the resumption of the NNL season have no worries in Lagos which they see as their base since their departure from Uyo.
According to a source ( unnamed), “the club are settling well in Lagos and are already having the ‘home factor’ confidence when they play in the Agege township stadium.”
Coach Rafael Everton will be pleased with his side’s preparation for the new season which kicks off in a few days as they will travel to take on Delta Force on Matchday one.
