While Spain’s Sergio Ramos could be looking forward to leading the Spanish football team to the 2021 Tokyo Olympics in hopes of adding more medals to his endless trophy cabinet, he has ventured into another sport to ensure he secures an Olympic medal.

The 34-year-old, who is said to be a horse lover, has teamed up with Spanish equestrian Sergio Álvarez Moya and purchased an 8-year-old mare called Eliante Z that will participate at the showjumping series in Japan.

“I feel privileged to have this partnership with Sergio Ramos, who is one of the best footballers of all time and who loves horses and elite sport,” Moya who represented Spain at the Rio 2016 Olympics told worldofshowjumping.

“I’m sure that we’re going to have a lot of fun and we’ll have lots of success.”

Although uncertainty trails the Real Madrid captain’s appearance at the rearranged Tokyo Olympics, Ramos has one more reason to tune in to watch the games, supporting his horse.
