Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa has rendered an apology on behalf of the entire Super Eagles squad following their disappointing 4-4 draw against the Lone Stars of Sierra Leone.

Nigeria surrendered a four-goal lead earlier on in the first 45 minutes to draw 4-4.

Alex Iwobi scored twice as Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze both struck to give the host a comfortable lead.

The Super Eagles felt short in their defence and conceded one in the first half as well as three other in the second half to share the lot.

Nigerian Fans showed great anger and disappointment in the performance of the team and the Captain has assured victory when they travel to Free Town.

“This has been a real shocker. I want to, on behalf of the entire team, apologise to the generality of Nigerians for this poor result. We will go to Freetown and do the needful.”
