Jadon Sancho marked his 100th game for Borussia Dortmund with a bang as new signing Jude Bellingham also scored on his debut, the first time two English players scores for Dortmund in a single game.
Dortmund progressed to the next round of the DFB cup after beating Duisburg 5-0 away from home.
Thorgan Hazard scored from the spot as Giovanni Reyna and Marco Rues were also among the scorers.
Both Sancho and Bellingham have been long-term targets for Manchester United as the later preferred a move to the Bundesliga club this summer while the former remains on the club’s radar.
England International Sancho has been placed with a €120m price tag, but United are unwilling to negotiate to that amount for the 20-year old.
Sancho joined Dortmund from Manchester City and Bellingham from Birmingham, but both players are touted to return to their country of origin most especially to cement their place with the Three Lions of England.
