Two Nigerians Paul Onuacho and Cyriel Dessers were on target for Genk as their goals could not prevent Genk from losing 5-2 to Beerschot in a match-day five of the Belgium Jupiler league fixture.
Raphael Holzhauser opened the scoring for Beerschot in the 12th minute.
But Super Eagles forward Paul Onuacho brought his side level seven minutes later.
Pierre Bourdin struck again immediately after second half in the 49th minute as the worst happened to Genk, Carlos Cuesta having his matching orders for a second booking, leaving his side with ten men and a goal down.
Holzhauser added his second of the night and Beerschot’s third from the spot to compound more woes on Genk.
Genk lost their believe of going home with something in the 69th minutes as they were reduced to nine after Theo Bongondo saw a straight red for a rash tackle.
Dessers reduced the deficit for the away side as he struck from the spot.
But Beerschot made it five, using two minutes to score twice from Yan Vorogovsky and Marious Noubissi.
The result means Genk are just one win from five opening games of the 2020/2021 football season as they are reduced to 14 on the log while Beerschot move to second place two points behind Sporting Charleroi.
