It has now been confirmed that Lazio and Italy forward Ciro Immobile is Europe’s highest goal scorer.
The 30-year old forward has scored 35 league goals this season with one game to spare.
The closest in the ranking is Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski who is on 34 goals.
Cristiano Ronaldo was Immobile’s challenger as he also had a game to play.
Which on his day is capable of overturning the table.
But the Portuguese superstar is not included in the squad that will host Roma later tonight.
This also means Immobile is Serie A’s golden boot winner with or no goal in tonight’s game.
Lazio travel to Naples to take on Napoli, while Juventus host Roma, but the goal scoring chat has been settled no matter the outcome of the games tonight.
