English Championship side Sheffield Wednesday have voted Nigerian Dominic Iorfa their player of the year.

The 25-year old Centre back has been instrumental to their survival in the championship as they finished 16th on the table.

Dominic signed from Wolves in 2018 and scored three goals as a defender in his debut season.

He has gone on to establish himself with the side, playing a commanding role in the heart of the defence.

The defender is yet to receive a Super Eagles invitation but has represented England at the U21 levels.

He will consider playing for Nigeria, his fatherland, as a callup to England National team is far from coming.

  1. The correct spelling of his surname is Iorfa. Maybe the author of this report doesn’t know, but let the world know that his father by the same name is a former Nigerian international and legend of Gboko-based BCC Lions!

    Dominic Iorfa Jnr is a talented player with great physicality. Patiently waiting for Rohr to take a decision concerning him.
