It is no more news that come next season, Super Eagles’ forward Victor Osimhen will no more be playing for Lille.
The Striker has been in Italy for weeks now, locked in negotiations with Napoli.
And Lille have gone to the market in search of a possible replacement for the 21-year old departing striker.
A possible signing of Gent forward has been on the cards as the player reportedly showed his desire to move to France.
20-year old Canadian Jonathan David was quoted in an interview with French outlet L’Equipe as saying, “I want to play for Lille”.
The forward also stated that his current employers Gent will not want less than €30m for him.
Lille will lose two strikers when Osimhen finally seals a deal as former Chelsea forward Loic Remy had earlier move to Serie A new boys Benevento and the need to sign a striker is imminent.
