Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has sent a farewell message to departing player Leroy Sane who looks set to join Bayern Munich this summer.
Sane joined City from Bundesliga side Shalke and he is set to return to the German top flight as a deal has been agreed between City and Bayern.
Guardiola said : “There are still some little issues but it looks like he’s going to go to Munich. We wish him all the best, big thanks for our years together. We wish him all the best in his new chapter at a fantastic club.
“Is it disappointing? He wants to leave. Everyone has their own life. He deserves to move on. I’d love him to stay here but he decided to move on because he believes he will be happier [in Munich].”
Sane refused to extend his deal at City pushing for a move back to Germany and a deal worth around £54.8m is in place for the winger to move.
