Defender Thiago Silva’s €10 million a year net salary is too high for Fiorentina as they lose hope of gaining his signature, reports La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The former AC Milan defender will be a free agent in the summer and the Viola were reportedly interested in bringing in the experience centre back to boost their defence next season.
Silva, 35 has been wanted by many European clubs but his huge wage demand will put off a lot of suitors.
The Brazilian defender has made over 200 appearances for PSG since joining the club back in 2012 and the Parisians wants to let him go in other to cut his heavy salary.
Fiorentina are willing to offer him €5.5 million, almost half of his demand which is believed the Brazilian will not accept such offer.
The directors of Fiorentina are aiming to return in mid-August to renegotiate with the former AC Milan star.
