Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola has cleared the air on Leroy Sane’s future as the German has refused to sign a new contract at the Etihad.
Spanish tactician Guardiola has assured that Sane, having refused to sign new contract will leave the club.
He further added that should the German International not leave this summer, then he will at the expiration of his contract next summer.
Leroy said he doesn’t want to extend his contract,” Guardiola said. “If he wants to leave and it is going to happen this summer or at the end of the contract. The club talked to me a few times, he rejected his contract so he wants to play at another club.
“I think everybody knows and if at the end of this season an agreement can be found he will leave, if not he will leave at the end of his contract.”
Sane was tipped by bookmakers to fill in the void left by Frank Ribery who left the club last season and retiring Arjrn Robben, but any deal materialising was hampered by injury.
The 24-year old was said to be in talks with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich before his surprising inclusion in the starting lineup of the FA community Shield against Liverpool which he suffered an injury that kept him out for more than half of the season.
The former Confederations cup winner is willing to leave city and face a new challenge having refused to renew his contract which is up next summer.
