Manchester United great Roy Keane was furious with goalkeeper Da Gea and Defender Harry Maguire on Tottenham’s goal in their 1-1 draw at London Stadium last night.

Spurs forward Bergwijn picked up a loosed ball at the centre only to drive pass Maguire easily and fire into the bet to give Spurs an unlikely lead.

Keane fumed at Maguire for letting a player run pass him so easily at the heart of the defence, showing a lot of frustration on the United’s £80 million pound man.

“I’m shocked. I’m shocked at that goal,” Keane said at the interval.

“I’ve watched a lot of football over the years and to give away that goal… I’m fuming.

“I can’t believe that’s Manchester United. Luke Shaw, heading the ball up in the air and then running forward… I am staggered at Maguire, how an international player can just get done like that – and I am sick to death of this goalkeeper.

He insisted Da Gea should have done better to protect the ball from entering the net as the ball flew from his gloves to give Jose Mourinho’s men the lead.

“would be fining him [De Gea] at halftime, there is no getting away from that. I would be swinging punches at that guy. That is a standard save for an established international goalkeeper.

“I am flabbergasted. Maguire and De Gea… I wouldn’t even let them on the bus after the match. Get a taxi back to Manchester. Do your job. We’re trying to get into the top four – never mind win trophies – shocking. I am disgusted. They should hang their heads in shame.”

Manchester United are fifth on the log with 46 points, closely followed by Sheffield United on 6th with 44 points with a game to spare. Both clubs meet at Old Trafford in their next league game which will be crucial in the fight for Top four a finish.
